Faycal Bouhafs is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. He holds a Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. Between 2007 and 2009, he was a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh, UK. From 2009, he was a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University before joining the University of New South Wales in 2020. His academic experience spans over more than a decade during which he initiated and participated in many research activities and projects, such as H2020 project Wi-5, and supervised over 60 undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research interests focus on performance and reliability aspects of wireless communication networks, including:
- Physical Layer Security in Wireless Communication Networks.
- Software Defined Wireless Networking and Spectrum Programming.
- Security in the Internet of Things and Cyber Physical Systems.
- Beyond 5G Communication Technologies and Architectures.
