This collection relates to the professional work of Rose Holley as a Librarian, Archivist and Curator. It contains her published articles, reports, reviews, presentations, and national frameworks and funding models she was involved with, The focus is mostly on Digital Libraries, large collaborative projects and models, and transformation of traditional library and archive services into digital models. Institutions she worked for and collaborated with include the University of Auckland, the National Library of New Zealand, the National Library of Australia, the National Archives of Australia, the University of New South Wales Canberra at ADFA, the ABC, the Australian Society of Archivists, the Australian Library and Information Association, and VALA.

Biographical Note
Rose Holley is the Special Collections and Digital Curator at UNSW. She was appointed to this position in August 2014 and manages the Special Collections which are located at UNSW Canberra at ADFA. Rose has held senior positions at the National Archives of Australia (Director of Software Implementation 2012-2014), the National Library of Australia (Director of Trove and the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program 2007-2012), and the University of Auckland (Manager of Digital Services and Projects 2000-2007). She has expertise in collection management, digitisation projects and innovation. She is an author for several library journals and actively contributes to library and archival professional associations and relevant committees and groups. She started her library career in the UK 30 years ago, before moving to New Zealand for ten years, and then moving to Australia after being recruited by the National Library of Australia.

Many Hands Make Light Work: Public Collaborative OCR Text Correction in Historic Australian Newspapers by Rose Holley, March 2009, National Library of Australia. This report covers the pioneering work achieved by Rose and her team. It was the first instance of library crowdsourcing in the world and also mass scale active online engagement with library users. It illustrated the new paradigm of libraries working with their users and enabling them to edit, improve and add value to library owned content.
