Scholarships are available for international students with excellent academic records. Students with research interest in Green concrete  and composite structures are highly encouraged to apply for Ph.D.

I currently serve as the Civil Engineering Program coordinator and the Sustainable Infrastructure Research Group coordinator. I joined UNSW Canberra in 2012, just after finishing PhD at the University of Sydney.

My research theme is sustainable and resilient infrastructure, with the current focus is on

  • Green Concrete

  • Recycling waste as construction materials

  • Structures and materials under extreme conditions

 I have practical experience as a Builder. It helped me to recognise that my expertise can be used to solve various local engineering and policy problems and directly contribute to society. Hence part of my research involves developing innovative solutions for various local engineering problems.

With more than 15 years of experience in Australia, I have developed expertise in advanced Concrete structure design, Steel structure design,  Timber structure design, and Hybrid structure design.
