Tenille Hands is the Special Collections Archivist. After undertaking studies in Art History and Curatorship with a major in Film Studies, Tenille spent over ten years working in curatorial roles at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) including Short Film & Digital Curator, Documents & Artefacts and Film. She curated the NFSA’s first online exhibition, has presented at national festivals and conferences and writes on Australia’s film history. In 2015, Tenille was recruited to manage digitisation at the Nelson Mandela Foundation before returning to Australia and joining Special Collections in 2018. She is passionate about all things digital preservation, audiovisual archiving and Australian screen heritage.
