Biographical Note

Australian cartoonist, illustrator and artist Rocco Fazzari was born in Adelaide in 1959 and graduated from the South Australian School of Art in 1981. Fazzari’s illustrative work appeared in Fairfax Media for 28 years, winning him the Kennedy Award for Outstanding Illustration and Cartoon in 2013. In 2017 he was awarded a Pulitzer Foundation grant to create an animation for the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. During his career, Fazzari has created and collaborated on works for the ABC, the Greater Sydney Commission, News Ltd, the Law Society of NSW, UTS and UNSW.  His artwork features in collections such as the Macquarie Group Art Collection, Muswellbrook Regional Art centre, Waverley Council and other private collections. From 2019 Fazzari has served as the Chairman of the Kennedy Foundation.
